Intro

Hi, my name's Emily Cordy. I'm currently working as a Biodiversity Recovery Officer (following the 19-20 Black Summer Bushfires), with the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning (DELWP). From a young age, I loved all animals but always wanted to work with native Australian animals. After I finished high school, I studied a Bachelor of Science at Federation University (in Churchill). I’ve been working for DELWP for 3 years, in a range of roles, that always have a link back to native animals. I’m also a forest firefighter and wildlife impacted by fire responder. These roles keep me busy over the hot, summer months. Outside of work I like spending my time in the forest, with my friends, family and my dog!
