Intro

I am currently employed as a Civil Engineer at Baw Baw Shire Council and are responsible for the team who looks after the road maintenance across all of Council roads. I have had a number of engineering roles both in and out of Local Government which include Traffic Engineer, Design Engineer, Construction Engineer and also Project Management for a consulting firm. Projects in which I have been involved with range from $50,000 to $7 million.
Engineering within Local Government provides a variety of opportunities to make a difference to where we work, live and play. Councils offer many different engineering roles that look at providing solutions to a broad range of problems.
One of the best things about working in Councils is that no 2 days are ever the same.
Working as an engineer offers exciting opportunities to work anywhere in Australia or the world of a huge range of both major and minor project works with a diverse range of different people, skills and expertise.
