Hello, my name is Sharon Aarons. I work at the Ellinbank Dairy Centre, a Victorian Government research farm located about 10 kilometres south of Warragul in West Gippsland. I have a PHD in Soil Science and manage soil scientists at five locations in Victoria. My experiments investigate the many aspects of how nutrients in fertiliser and manure are used on dairy farms. This is very important for dairy farmers to increase production while minimising environmental impact. My experiments occur in the field at Ellinbank and on commercial farms and in the laboratory.
