Intro

Leanne Williams is the CEO of West Gippsland Libraries and Vice President of Public Libraries Victoria. Leanne is a Non-Executive Director on an Independent School Board and a Regional Health Service and she is the Chair of two Audit and Finance Committees.

Leanne is a Chartered Accountant, Graduate of the Institute of Company Directors, Graduate of Melbourne Business School's Leading Transformational Change Program and is currently undertaking her Graduate Diploma in Psychology.

In 2019, Leanne was named in the Victorian Top 50 Public Sector Women and in 2020 she was the winner in the Public Leader category for an Outstanding Leadership Award.

A day in the life of Leanne’s role as a CEO varies from human resources management, financial management, information technology and systems decisions, matters relating to the public and community, operation of 15 locations, political engagement and advocacy to key strategic projects such as building new libraries and changing the way the services are delivered in the future.

Leanne is also a mum to three young primary school aged children. In her spare time, Leanne likes to mountain bike, snowboard and spend time in the garden or visiting her family on the farm.
