My name is Steph and I am currently working as a Mechanical Production Technician for Snowy Hydro at the Valley Power Gas Plant in Traralgon South. After finishing year 11 I completed an Apprenticeship as a Mechanical Fitter and Turner followed by another apprenticeship as a Boilermaker at Loy Yang A. I then worked as a Technician Operator at Loy Yang B for 3 years until I started in my current role. My job varies everyday, from carrying out general maintenance on plant, to replacing and rebuilding engines (our turbines are the jet engines you would find on an aeroplane!), to managing projects and contractors and everything in between.
When I am not at work some of my hobbies include trail running, hard enduro, camping and looking after my chooks and veggie garden! (And more running!)
